Allison and Alex couldn’t have had a better day for their wedding. Perfect sun and amazing light at the National Arboretum for the photo shoot. The ceremony was held at the Gold Creek Chapel and the cars were provided by A1 Classic Cars – love the Packard!!
After having some fun at the Arboretum, we visited the lake foreshore and then returned to the Abbey at Gold Creek for the reception. A fantastic day!!
Here is part one of Jo and Steve’s Canberra wedding which was held at the National Arboretum in Canberra. We started with a nice hot day which allowed the guests to enjoy the long walk from the Arboretum carpark to the ceremony location. Then the rain came! But that didn’t affect the ceremony or the family photos as there is plenty of room on the balcony to do some shots without getting wet. Sadly some guests became a little damp as they ran the 500mtr back to their cars.
The rain allowed us to find some more ‘creative’ places to do the photos, and we found some great ones. Luckily the sun popped out for the last 10 minutes, so the A1 Classic Cars – Rolls Royce and Bentley – took the bridal party to the top of Dairy Farmers hill where we caught the beautiful late afternoon light.
Back at the reception, Ginger Catering had done a fantastic job with making the room look amazing. Stay tuned for more photos.
We couldn’t have had a better day for the wedding. No wind and lots of sun shine.
The ceremony was held in the beautiful gardens at Andrew’s parents home and we visited the National Arboretum for our photos session. As usual, it was windy up on the hill, but well worth the visit.
Stay tuned for the 2nd group of photos – will upload soon.
